There's a hundred Benjamin Johnsons in the world. Guys who toil in their state's independant wrestling scenes, achieve solid success there, but never quite make the leap.

Benjamin's luckier than most in the sense that after a few years, he makes enough money (combined with his wife's job) to provide for his two children without needing a second job.

A noted family man, Benjamin married his high school sweetheart Erica, and the two have two children, Michael and Rebecca. In high school, Benjamin was a two sport athlete, football and wrestling, and he excelled at both.

The Texas Wrestling Association remains Johnson's best known haunt. While he's travelled throughout the state (and indeed, into Arkansas, Oklahoma, and other states) to compete, the TWA is where he is known best and beloved the most by his fans.

That's why it hurt so much to send out his match tape one more time to PRIME, in a time where the economy is suffering everywhere. Why it hurt so much to hope that maybe, just maybe, the Lone Star would finally get a look from a world-class promotion.

Now that he has, however, what will change for him?

For his family?
