Jonathan Rhine
Career Highlights
Gimmick/Attitude: Jonathan Rhine is the epitome of the fresh face. Twenty-three years young and ready for the world he's only seen before, the very talented young wrestler wants to make the fans crazy and see the bad guys fall. After all, that's how it's always happened on TV, right?
Biography: The condensed version is Rhine grew up very typically until middle school, when a rash of violent crimes around his neighborhood made his father nervous, causing him to enroll Rhine in both martial arts classes and the wrestling team. Rhine carried both into high school, and when the academic scholarship he was given to Rice University was taken away after one year due to legal issues back home, Rhine returned home with one desire: to make wrestling his career.
He worked as a bag boy in a local grocery store for a few months (where he met his current girlfriend, Katie Malick) until he could earn enough to enlist in the Gray Wrestling Academy, a New Orleans-based academy run by former National Wrestling Council wrestler Foster Nackedy. Nackedy immediately took a liking to Rhine, seeing in him Foster's talent and determination. Foster took him under his wing, teaching him not only technique and discipline but how to live balancing life and wrestling.
After two years in his school and wrestling for Foster's school-run promotion, winning the top belt and holding it for his final year there, Rhine graduated and sent out his bio to a few big federations. FUSE bit, and Rhine's life has changed forever.
After a year on top of FUSE and the resulting fed SCCW, Rhine won the FUSE title, and then the SCCW Universal Title. He is the current SCCW Universal Champion and appeared on PRIME television to ruin Xavier Kannon's celebration ceremony on Rev 162. Kannon is...how shall we say...less than pleased about it.
