Tom Walczak
Career Highlights

Tom Walczak was born in Gdansk, Poland. He never knew who his parents were and was raised in the Swiete Jadwigi Sierocinec. From an early age Walczak was a troubled child. He was always getting into fights with other children and he never listened to any of the rules that the sisters in the orphanage laid out for him. At age twelve he was sent to a juvenile detention center, but this did nothing to change his attitude. At age fourteen he was sent to a halfway house because he was seen as too much of a threat to the other children in the juvenile center. Shortly after his transfer to the Halfway House he was committed to do community service five days a week. After nearly a year of this he couldn’t take it anymore, and decided to try and get away. He was working in the sea port a Gdynia one day and decided that this was his best chance. He knocked out the officer that was assigned to watch him and jumped on the nearest ship that was leaving. The ship left before anyone noticed him and it ended up traveling to the Fulton seaport in New York. He resided in the streets and actually found jobs quite easily because of his size usually in construction. However, he could not keep a steady job because of frequent confrontation with his bosses. One day he was told about a No-Holds Barred fighting tournament by one of the people he worked with. Even though he was only sixteen he could not pass up on the chance to win $25,000. He didn’t know what to expect when entering the tournament, but he did not think that his victory would be nearly uncontested. After Walczak realized that he could do this for money he never looked backed. He competed in tournaments around the country, but he was never accepted by the people who watched his fights. He was always mocked for the fact that he was a foreigner. This rooted a deep seeded hatred in Walczak. He built a nice living fighting for money, but he never built a fan base in the United States. He decided that since he now had money it was best for him to move back to his home country of Poland. At the age of nineteen he headed back to Gdansk not expecting what awaited him there. He was known in various circles around the world because of his success. When he got off the plane he was greeted by Police officers from Poland as well as members of the US consulate. The Polish officers arrested him for assault of an officer. Walczak was truly sorry that he had done this and he was prepared to serve the punishment that was going to be given to him. However, he wanted to know why members of the US Consulate had been there as well. He found out that all his accounts all the money he had won had been frozen and all the property he had was seized by the US government. They said that all his winnings had come in unsanctioned events, and that most of the time the money was not gained by legal means. This is when Walczak’s hatred for the United States grew to a level that had not been witnessed before. He had risen to the top in a country that had never given him anything, and now it had all been taken away from him because of nothing more than jealousy. Walczak believed that the United States had hated that a foreigner had come in and dominated something, and the almighty USA could do nothing about it. Walczak vowed that as long as he lived he would despise the US and do everything in his power to gain back the power that he once had. Before beginning his ascent back to the top Walczak had to serve out his eight year sentence in jail. While he sat in jail all he thought of was going back to the US and regaining that which was once his. He wasn’t treated badly in jail and for the first time in his life people respected him. The guards as well as the other prisoners had heard of his successes as a fighter in the United States, and they were proud that he had done the Polish people proud. They kept agreeing that he had been given a raw deal in the US and this kept fueling the fire. Once he was released from jail he took all the remaining money that he had and he made his way towards the United States. He joined others who joined in his beliefs against the US. He fought in major organizations such as PCW and OSW and reached his pinnacle when he became the OSW World Champion. Walczak’s reign at the top did not last long. After losing the World Title to Rhett Locke he began a steep slide in his career. He began heavily drinking and did not return to his full form. He eventually left OSW and fell away from society. Then one summer night his life finally hit bottom. He was drinking in a bar when he was confronted by someone who said that they had lost money when they bet on him in a match and he didn’t pull through. Walczak lost it and he unloaded on the man. He was once again charged with assault. He was sentenced to two and a half years in jail, but this time he was not treated as well as he was in Poland. He was forced to fight in prisons throughout the United States. He was recently released and he hopes to regain the wrestling success that he once had, and he hopes to do this in PRIME.
