PRIME/FX Reach New Agreement

It was around this time last year that PRIME moved from the Playboy Channel to the FX Network, securing a primetime slot on the popular cable channel. For the last year, ReVolution has dominated the ratings and in doing so, pleased a great many network executives.

As a result, FX and PRIME have inked a new contract.

Few noticeable changes will occur. ReVolution is set to continue airing Wednesday nights at 9:00PM. in a two hour block. The man change, was the lucrative nature of this contract. FX’s initial deal with PRIME had been a trial period of sorts, with neither party making long-term commitments, but with ReVolution continually bringing in excellent ratings, dominating cable television… FX was eager to put together a new contract for PRIME… and was willing to pay.

Although the exact details, from dollar amounts to ad revenue to length of agreement, have not been released, PRIME executives were said to be more than pleased.

"I couldn’t be happier." Blaine Blair said yesterday when reached for comment. "This is a great day in PRIME’s history. To make the move from Playboy TV to the FX network was huge… but this contract may be the biggest thing to ever happen to PRIME. Needless to say, we’re being well compensated for the last year’s performance."

Indeed, PRIME soared to record heights in the second half of 2006 and the first months of 2007, and both parties are expecting more of the same as PRIME heads into its annual supershow, Colossus, and beyond.

"Now, it’s just about continuing the momentum." Lisa Tyler said with a rather large smile on her face. "We’ve performed well enough to earn this contract, now it’s time to prove FX made the right move."

Though it hasn’t been officially confirmed, rumors are floating around backstage that PRIME will be presenting a ‘special’ edition of ReVolution in the coming weeks.
